Plein Air Painting Workshop in the Italians Alps
This summer, I invite you to join me for an eight-day painting workshop in Scopello, a charming village in Valsesia, Italy, at the foot of Monte Rosa (4,634 m). We’ll paint on mountain peaks over 1,500 meters high, along the Sesia River, in the village, and in nearby forests.
Valsesia offers stunning Alpine landscapes, clear rivers, historic villages, and summer activities like hiking, rafting and cycling. Scopello, where I live and work, is a peaceful village surrounded by forests, with easy access to the Alpe di Mera ski resort, which transforms into a summer haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
The workshop includes morning “alla prima” painting sessions and extended painting in the afternoon. Accommodation is in a cozy village hotel in Scopello, and along the way, well also enjoy the local cuisine, rich with Alpine flavors, paired with excellent regional wines. we’ll visit nearby Varallo to explore the Sacro Monte di Varallo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With pleasant July weather, this workshop is perfect for painters and nature lovers seeking inspiration and tranquility.
