Plein Air Painting Workshop in the Italians Alps

This coming summer I will hold the workshop for the second time, following last year’s highly successful session. I invite you to join me for eight days of painting in Italy’s Valsesia Valley, at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif (4,634 m). We will paint on mountain peaks above 1,500 meters, along the river and its tributaries, and in the nearby villages and forests.
Valsesia offers magnificent alpine landscapes, crystal-clear rivers, historic villages, and summer activities such as hiking, rafting, and cycling.
Every morning we will work on alla prima paintings, and in the afternoons there will be an option to work on a longer, sustained piece. Accommodation will be in a comfortable rural hotel on the banks of the Sermenza River, and throughout the week we will enjoy local cuisine rich in alpine flavors, cheeses, and wine.
July brings pleasant mountain weather, and the workshop is ideal for painters and nature lovers seeking an inspiring and peaceful painting experience amid powerful and wild natural scenery.
